Preparation
Before installing Round Head Rivets , some tools and materials need to be prepared, such as electric drill, drill, rivet, nail press, hammer, wrench, safety glasses, etc.
Rivet selection
According to the type and thickness of the material to be connected, select the appropriate rivets and specifications. Solid rivet with half round head is suitable for connecting metal and plastic materials.
Drilling
Drill holes corresponding to the diameter of the rivet on the two materials to be connected with an electric drill and a drill bit respectively, paying attention to the position and alignment of the two holes.
Install rivets
Insert the rivet into the two holes, place the bottom of the rivet into the groove of the nail press, and tighten the nail press with a wrench.
Pressure nails
Hit the top of the stud press with a hammer until the bottom of the rivet is flattened and fitted to the surface of the material. The close connection between the rivets and the material should be felt at this time.
Skills and precautions
Before drilling, apply a small amount of lubricating oil to the surface of the material in order to avoid the slide of the drill bit.During the installation process, be sure to wear safety glasses to avoid rivet cracking or unraveling.
