External Circlip Standard
Conforms to BS3673 Part 4, the most common form of axial retainer for shafts with grooves. Generally, only metric sizes and manufactured for 3mm to 300mm shafts. USA specifications, heavy-duty versions and various lug configurations are also available on request.
External Circlip Lugged
Conforms to DIN 983, axially fitted to shafts with grooves, similar to the standard design but with additional equi-spaced lugs around the O.D. This feature assists in maintaining good contact with radiused or chamfered components for 16mm to 140mm shafts.
Internal Circlip Standard
Conforms to BS3673 Part 4 and DIN 472, the most common form of axial retainer for bores with grooves. Generally, only metric sizes are manufactured for 8mm to 360mm bores. USA specifications, heavy-duty versions and various lug configurations are also available on request.
Internal Circlip Lugged
Conforms to DIN 984, axially fitted to bores with grooves, similar to the standard design but with additional equi-spaced lugs around the I.D. This feature assists in maintaining good contact with radiused or chamfered components for 16mm to 170mm bore.
E Type External Circlip
Conforms to BS3673 Part 2 and DIN 6799, the most common form of radially fitted circlip to shafts with grooves. Nominal size is the groove diameter (not the shaft diameter), available in inch sizes from 0.052″ to 0.940″ and 0.8mm to 30.0mm grooves. Circlip pliers are not required for installation.
Snap Rings
Axially fitted in shallow grooves as conventional circlips. Often used to retain narrow section components with light side loads. Unlike conventional circlips, special fitting tools are not required.
