Fab Block Fixture Tables

Platen: This is the core of Fab Block Fixture Table system, typically a heavy, stress-relieved cast iron or steel structure. The platen is covered with precisely machined holes arranged in a standard grid (for example: 2 inches x 2 inches or 50mm x 50mm).

Grid Holes: These are not ordinary holes; they usually have special internal structures (such as square grooves or threads) for connecting various functional accessories.

Tooling: This is the key to the powerful functionality of the system. There is a wide variety of accessories, including:

Locating Blocks/Stops: Used to determine the position of the workpiece.

Clamps: Used to firmly secure the workpiece to the platen.

Support Blocks/Angle Blocks: Used to support workpieces of different shapes and angles.

Pins, Bolts, and Pressure Plates: Various standard connecting and locking elements.

Working Principle: Based on 3D drawing of the workpiece, user uses these functional accessories to "build" on grid holes of platen, quickly creating a high-precision, customized fixture specifically for that workpiece. Once completed, workpiece can be placed in, fixed with clamps, and then welding, assembly, or measurement can be carried out.
