Structure and working principle
304 open spring washer is composed of two washers, with radial convex surface on the outside and beveled tooth surface on the inside. When assembled and used, the inner beveled tooth surfaces are opposite to each other, and the radial convex surface on the outside is in bite state with the contact surfaces at both ends. In this way, when subjected to vibration, if the bolt tends to loosen, the inner beveled tooth surfaces of the two washers will move relative to each other, thus achieving a 100% locking effect.
Application
Spring washers are suitable for situations where nuts need to be prevented from loosening, such as bolts connecting motors to bases. Whether to add spring washers to flanges depends on the medium flowing through the pipeline. If pulses are easily generated, it is best to add spring washers. In addition, on some valves, the stuffing box gland flange also needs to be added with spring washers.
