1. Level selection.

There are usually 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9 grades. 10.9 and 12.9 grade bolts are commonly used in construction applications because these grades have higher tensile and shear resistance.

2. Bolt diameter selection

When determining the diameter of L-shaped anchor bolts, two factors need to be considered: bolt strength and thread strength.

The strength of the bolt is determined by the strength and cross-sectional area of the steel, so the greater the strength of the bolt, the larger the diameter; the strength of the thread is determined by the length, pitch and thread thread of the thread, so the greater the strength of the thread , the diameter will be larger.

3. Bolt length selection

The length of the bolt refers to the length from the starting point of the thread to the end.

L-bolt length selection needs to be considered

1) For the connection between bolts and steel structures, the length of the bolts should be > the sum of the thicknesses between the two steel structures

2) For the double limb part of the bolt used to connect the steel plate and the plate, it should be minimized to reduce the cost of the bolt when meeting the conditions

If the bolt length is too short, it is prone to distortion or failure; if the bolt length is too long, unnecessary costs and installation difficulties may be added.
