I. Minor Deformation Repair: Stress Release + Fine Leveling
Suitable for minor deflection or localized bulging caused by short-term overload, temperature difference, or residual stress imbalance.

1. Natural Aging Treatment
Move the workbench to a constant temperature environment (20±2℃, humidity ≤65%) and let it stand for 7–15 days to allow internal stress to slowly release.

2. Localized Heat Application
Use a 50–80℃ hot air blower or hot towel to apply to the deformed area 1–2 times daily for 30–40 minutes each time to promote localized stress relaxation.

3. Two-Stage Leveling (Cold and Hot)

First, at room temperature, use an electronic level (accuracy 0.01mm/m) to check the center and five points at the four corners. Fine-tune using anchor bolts until the bubble is centered.

Then, after the equipment is heated to normal operating temperature, perform a hot-state retest to compensate for thermal expansion differences and ensure accuracy under real-world operating conditions.

✅ Advantages: Non-destructive, low cost, suitable for preventative maintenance

⚠️ Limitations: Only applicable to reversible elastic deformation; cannot repair structures that have undergone plastic deformation.

II. Moderate to Severe Deformation Repair: Mechanical Intervention Method

When the flatness error exceeds 0.08mm/m, or when local bulges, depressions, or misalignment of the hole system occur, the following active repair methods must be used:

1. Manual Scraping (The Gold Standard for High-Precision Repair) Apply red lead or blue oil to a standard flat surface and scrape it against the worktable to expose high-point areas.
A professional fitter removes these high points point by point with a scraper, controlling the scraping amount to 0.002–0.005mm each time. Repeat this process until the number of contact points is ≥16/200mm×200mm (0-level precision requirement).

✅ Advantages: Achieves ultra-high flatness within 0.005mm/m, forming an oil-retaining microstructure on the surface, improving wear resistance.

⚠️ Requirements: Relies on technician experience, time-consuming, suitable for repairing critical reference surfaces.

2. Machining (High-Efficiency Large-Area Repair) Fix the platform to a gantry milling machine or floor-type boring and milling machine, aligning it with the back support surface as a reference.
Use a disc milling cutter to perform a single precision milling on the entire working surface, quickly restoring overall flatness.
Typically, an accuracy of around 0.05mm/m can be achieved.

✅ Advantages: High efficiency, suitable for large-area uniform repair.

⚠️ Limitations: Limited by machine tool precision, and unable to form the lubricating microstructure of the scraped surface.

3. Flame Straightening (for localized post-weld deformation) Utilizing the thermal expansion and contraction properties of metals, point, line, or triangular heating (600–800℃) is applied to the deformed area. Upon cooling, the contraction force counteracts the original weld deformation.

✅ Applicable to: Repairing angular deformation or bending caused by uneven welding heat input.

⚠️ Note: Heating temperature and range must be controlled to avoid creating new stress concentrations.

III. Special Repair Strategies for High-Temperature Conditions (For Dyeing Machine Scenarios)

Given that the equipment you are maintaining operates in a high-temperature environment for extended periods, material compatibility and thermal stability must be considered during repair:

1. Select an HT300 cast iron or low-alloy steel platform and confirm that it has undergone dual aging treatment (high temperature + natural) to ensure a residual stress removal rate >90%.

2. Conduct thermal cycling simulation tests after repair.

Heat the platform to above 80°C and maintain this temperature for several hours. After cooling, re-measure the flatness to verify the repair stability.

3. Install adjustable support points.

Install fine-tuning bolts or hydraulic fulcrums at the bottom of the platform to facilitate dynamic compensation and leveling under hot conditions.

4. Regular anti-deformation maintenance.

Clean the platform and check the hole system accuracy every 6 months. Conduct a comprehensive scraping or laser scanning comparison annually to establish a record of accuracy change trends.
