3D Welding Tooling Plate is the core load-bearing and positioning component of the three-dimensional flexible welding tooling system. Basic Materials and Manufacturing Process
The main body is made of high-strength gray cast iron (HT250/HT300) or alloy structural steel (Q355), and undergoes quenching + tempering + nitriding treatment. The surface hardness can reach HRC 50-60, providing wear resistance and resistance to welding heat deformation.
The positioning holes are processed using precision boring, resulting in smooth, burr-free hole walls. The hole distance tolerance is controlled within ±0.05mm, ensuring the positioning accuracy of the fixture.
Hole System Design (Core Feature)
Mainstream specifications include the D16 series (positioning hole diameter φ16mm, hole spacing 50mm/100mm) and the D28 series (positioning hole diameter φ28mm, hole spacing 50mm/100mm). Some heavy-duty models support φ30/φ40 hole systems.
Positioning holes are evenly distributed on the upper surface and surrounding sides of the tooling plate, supporting multi-directional clamping and enabling three-dimensional positioning (X/Y/Z axes) and angle adjustment (tilting, rotation) of the workpiece.
The hole type is mostly a composite structure of countersunk holes and threaded holes, allowing for quick positioning by inserting positioning pins and direct fixing of fixtures or workpieces with bolts..

Unlimited combination possibilities: Users plan positioning points on the plate based on the workpiece's 3D drawings. Then, like "building blocks," they select suitable standard components (e.g., support blocks of different heights + a universal ball joint + a dedicated clamp) and fix them to the threaded holes on the plate using bolts, creating a support and clamping system that matches the workpiece's shape.
Rapid reconfiguration: After welding is complete, these standard components can be easily disassembled. When a new workpiece needs to be produced, simply replan and install the components; there is no need to design and manufacture a dedicated fixture for each new product.
