O-RINGS

The following are the differences between silicone O-rings and fluoroplastic O-rings and their respective advantages:

1. Chemical properties
Silicone O-ring: Silicone is a polymer material made of silicon raw materials, with good heat resistance, cold resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. Silica gel has good corrosion resistance to most acids, bases and solvents at room temperature.
Fluorine glue O-ring: Fluorine glue is a polymer material made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), with excellent chemical corrosion resistance. Fluorogel has excellent stability in extreme environments such as high temperatures and strong acids and alkalis.

2. Temperature resistance

Silicone O-ring: Silicone has a high temperature resistance, remains stable over a wide temperature range, and can usually withstand temperatures from -50°C to 200°C. It can maintain good elasticity and sealing performance at high temperatures.
Fluorine rubber O-ring: Fluorine rubber has excellent high temperature resistance, can remain stable in a high temperature range, usually can withstand temperatures of -200°C to 260°C. It is suitable for sealing requirements in extremely high temperature environments.

3. Physical property

Silicone O-ring: Silicone has good softness and elasticity, can adapt to different surface shapes, and provides a reliable sealing effect. It also has a low coefficient of friction, making installation and disassembly more convenient.

Fluoroadhesive O-ring: Fluoroadhesive has low surface adhesion, allowing it to slide easily during the sealing process and reduce wear. Its surface is smooth, has excellent adhesion resistance, and is not easy to bond with other materials.

4.  Application field

Silicone O-ring: Because silicone has good chemical corrosion resistance and temperature resistance, it is often used in food processing, medical equipment, auto parts and other fields, especially in high temperature and high humidity environment applications.
Fluorine rubber O-ring: Because of its excellent chemical corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, fluorine rubber is widely used in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical and other industries, especially in acid and alkali media and high temperature environment sealing needs.
