Specifications and model number

Flat welding tables with fixtures are mainly divided into two series: D16 and D28. The D16 series mostly features a 50×50mm grid spacing, while the D28 series mostly features a 100×100mm grid spacing, accommodating different sizes of tooling fixtures.

Materials and Craftsmanship: The base material is typically high-strength carbon steel, stainless steel, or cast iron. The surface is polished, hardened, or nitrided to ensure flatness and wear resistance. Cast iron tabletops offer good vibration damping, suitable for high-precision welding; carbon steel tabletops are lower in cost and can be customized to specific dimensions; stainless steel tabletops are suitable for humid or corrosive workshop environments.
Structural Design: The tabletop has a strictly flat surface. Some products feature T-slots, threaded holes, or positioning holes on the surface for quick installation and adjustment of fixtures. The edges of the tabletop are often beveled to prevent sharp edges from injuring operators.
Accuracy Levels: Based on application, they are classified into standard grade (flatness error ≤0.5mm/m), precision grade (≤0.1mm/m), and ultra-precision grade (≤0.05mm/m), suitable for general welding, automotive parts welding, and precision equipment welding, respectively.

Positioning fixtures: These include locating pins, locating blocks, V-blocks, etc., used to precisely fix the position of the workpiece, ensuring dimensional consistency of the welded parts and preventing workpiece displacement during welding.
Clamping fixtures: Such as quick clamps, presses, and bolt clamps, these use mechanical force to firmly secure the workpiece to the worktable, resisting thermal deformation and vibration during welding, and ensuring welding accuracy.
Supporting fixtures: Such as adjustable support bases and jacks, these are used to support large or irregularly shaped workpieces, maintaining the workpiece's horizontal or vertical position, and adapting to the welding of complex structural components.
Modular fixtures: Composed of multiple standardized fixture modules, these can be flexibly combined to meet the welding needs of multi-variety, small-batch workpieces, enabling rapid tooling changeovers.

Working principle and process

Solution Design: Based on the workpiece CAD model, the fixture layout is simulated in specialized software (such as Elena or CATIA welding module).

Rapid Assembly: Standard modules are installed onto the platform grid holes according to the design, like "building blocks," without the need for custom machining.

Flexible Adjustment: By replacing or adjusting the module positions, the system can adapt to new workpieces, enabling multiple uses of a single platform.

Precision Control: Relying on the platform's high flatness (typically ±0.05mm/m) and hole position accuracy (±0.02mm), the system ensures repeatable positioning accuracy for welding.

Process Design: Engineers plan the optimal fixture layout scheme based on the product's 3D model using specialized software (or by simulating directly on the workbench).
Workbench Setup: The operator, following the layout diagram, installs the necessary locating pins, support blocks, clamps, etc., onto the workbench at the specified coordinates, like "building with blocks," and tightens them with a torque wrench.
Workpiece Clamping: The workpiece blank is placed in position, pressed against the locating elements, and then the quick-release clamps are tightened sequentially.
Welding: Robotic or manual welding is performed. Due to precise positioning, high-efficiency continuous welding is often possible.
Disassembly and Switching: The clamps are released, and the welded part is removed. After cleaning the workbench, the fixtures can be reset for the next workpiece.
